I want every Baby Booty class to feel like a workout you’d do pre-kids—where you can zone out, focus on you, and not stress about laundry or dishes (or, you know, a house full of toys!). Your little one is there, but they’re happily hanging with the other babies while you get some much-needed "me" time.
Our studio is a getaway from the chaos of home life—because we all know the struggle! I want parents to feel like they're hanging out with friends, moving their bodies, and rediscovering themselves. (Trust me, I know how easy it is to lose a bit of yourself during the early postpartum months.)
During my first pregnancy, I stayed active to prep for childbirth and the demands of motherhood—taking spin, barre, and pilates classes until I was 39 weeks pregnant. After Ella was born, I couldn’t wait to get moving again. Once I was cleared for exercise Ella could come to class in her car seat. But when she started crawling, that was no longer an option, so we created Baby Booty®—a way to work out without needing childcare! It was also a chance to make new friends, which I didn’t expect!
Now, with baby number two (Beau), I’m even more focused on staying active and mindful of my mental health throughout pregnancy and postpartum. I’m in awe of how much more prepared I feel this time around, thanks to the incredible community of Baby Booty partners who offer so much support to our parents!
I get what you’re going through and so does my team. We’ve been through the changing body, the insecurities of weight gain, baby blues, intrusive throughts, postpartum depression, anxiety, marital/partnership stress, isolation etc. I can even relate to you if you’re a single parent juggling it all as I’m trying now to do the same! So in short-Baby Booty will help prepare you for the physical challenges of parenthood while providing a supportive community for both you and your baby- a place to feel WELCOME.
I'm a certified Group Fitness Instructor, Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Specialist, Certified Barre Instructor, and Run Coach. We even created a Baby Booty Instructor Certification to ensure our team is top-notch. I can’t wait to meet you at our Portland studio, or on Zoom/On Demand Classes. I live in Maine with my two kids, Panda the dog, and a cat named Clyde.

Two years postpartum with my first and though I wouldn’t trade it for the world, I’ll admit it, being a Mom is NOT easy! And for me, neither was my pregnancy. After being over the moon to even be pregnant, I soon found out I was high-risk, restricted to do certain movements, and given limits on how much weight I could pick up. I was anxious, nauseous all the time (from pregnancy and fear), and lost so much muscle mass. Eventually, I was required to stay at the hospital until her birth. My sweet daughter, Aili, was born four weeks early via c-section. After a short NICU stay, we were given the OKAY to go home, phew!
The early postpartum months brought me unexpected challenges as well. It took a lot of time, therapy, chiropractor visits, and CrossFit classes to try and feel like myself again, but I was still wondering why I was feeling disconnected after almost two years PP…
I decided to sign up as a member for Baby Booty right before my daughter turned 2 in the hopes that I could move my body in a judgement-free zone alongside other soon-to-be parents and new parents, while socializing myself and my daughter. I quickly realized this was what my body and brain was craving! The confidence, positivity and FUN that Baby Booty has brought into my life is the breath of fresh air that I needed. I feel so lucky to have found my people and be able to raise my daughter alongside such an amazing community. I can only hope, as an instructor, I can give back and shed some light on those that walk through our doors!I am certified in Baby Booty®

I’m Sophie, Ava Jane’s mom! After Ava arrived I turned to my mom for all answers and support. She stayed with me for 6 weeks because I emotionally wasn’t stable and needed her. After she left I got myself out of my comfort zone and found different groups for new moms. Which led me to finding Baby Booty. Being able to get a workout in followed by the support of so many other new parents is amazing and has helped me in my motherhood journey. Motherhood is both emotionally and physically hard and there is no better outlet than Baby Booty. Not only do I love the 30 min workouts, but the feeling of community within the classes is amazing. Baby Booty has had an incredible impact on me and I look forward to helping other parents experience all that it has to offer.
I’ve always had a passion for fitness, sports and an active lifestyle. I have been a certified personal trainer for years and couldn’t be more excited to bring my expertise to Baby Booty! I'm also certified in Baby Booty®

Three years ago, I moved to Maine with my husband, and our five-month-old daughter. We arrived in the middle of winter, far from the people and community we knew, and I was still very much in the haze of new motherhood. I loved being a mom, but I was also lonely, overwhelmed, and missing pieces of myself—especially movement. Exercise had always been such an important part of how I felt grounded and connected to myself, and suddenly finding even a few minutes for it felt nearly impossible.
Finding Baby Booty changed so much for me. I came for a place where I could move my body with my baby beside me, but what I found was a community that made motherhood in a brand-new place feel so much less isolating. It gave me space to take care of myself without having to separate that from being a mom, and introduced me to women who understood the season I was in. Becoming an instructor has made that connection even more meaningful. I love getting to bring my own creativity into the studio through yoga, yoga fusion, kickin’ booty, and signature Baby Booty workouts, while hopefully creating that same feeling of belonging for other moms. Baby Booty reminds me that motherhood was never meant to be done alone—and that taking care of ourselves can happen right alongside taking care of our little ones.

I first attended Baby Booty as SOON as I was cleared after my C section birth. I became obsessed with working out with my newborn, and socializing with people who had mutual interests, and needs. I found a much-needed community all while starting to move my body again!
Movement has always been a huge part of my life: dancing (ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and modern) since the age of 3, continuing throughout college and adulthood while also finding an interest in weightlifting and yoga post-college. Baby Booty is mine and my toddler’s favorite leisure activity! I’m certified in Baby Booty® and also hold a barre certification.

I found Baby Booty just about 2 months postpartum with my second son, and thank goodness! I had my first son, Noah, in 2021 while still living in Massachusetts, and from Zoom lactation consultations to navigating C-section healing and the postpartum hormonal rollercoaster without much human contact, I was desperate for a different experience with my second. While my husband grew up in Portland, moving here in 2022 from Massachusetts, I didn't know anyone except my in-laws. Baby Booty changed all that! The friendships and community I have found through Baby Booty have truly been life-changing.
As a mom who works full time from home, I love coming to Baby Booty without my kids. It's a great way to get away from my laptop during the day, be around a group of welcoming and accepting mamas, laugh, occasionally cry, and get my sweat on. And while you will always find me encouraging you to lift those heavier weights as I take classes beside you, I also have the honor of planning social events for Baby Booty! I know how helpful it is to have something to look forward to as a mom, away from the kiddos, an excuse to put on hard pants, a little makeup, and get to know the other amazing women in our community. From trying out new hot spots in Portland, cruising Sebago, to dance parties in the studio, we love hanging out with you outside of workouts! Hit me up with any ideas as well!

I’m really excited to be a part of the Baby Booty Team! I’m a certified yoga instructor, professional musician, lover of food and cooking, passionate about mental and physical wellness and love being in community. When I became a mother of identical twins (Sonora and Evelyn) in January 2024 all this was put on the back burner.
I found out about Baby Booty and saw an opportunity to incorporate many of the things I had lost in my life. I’m excited to teach and share my yoga and fitness practices, embrace community, meet YOU, and talk about our successes and hardships as we navigate parenthood together.

I first came to Baby Booty in 2023 looking for a place to exercise and make new friends for my daughters, while we spent our summers here from Washington state.
From the very beginning, I fell in love with the inclusive, supportive community and the fun, yet challenging workouts. I struggled with infertility, miscarriage, and anxiety during my pre-pregnancy and postpartum journey. I found the social circle after class to be a lifesaver. I realized I wasn't alone anymore and had the love and support I had always been looking for.
After injuring myself in my first pregnancy, I was afraid to continue to exercise. Fortunately, I found a love of Barre during my second pregnancy and was able to experience such joy in movement. I enjoyed group fitness so much I became certified in Barre in 2021.
As a former Kindergarten teacher, I have never lost my love of a good lesson plan. One of my favorite things about teaching is planning the moves along with an incredible playlist that allows the freedom to find so much fun in exercise.
In my freetime, you will find me sipping my favorite iced latte, walking the beach or exploring my favorite seaside town. I have had a love for Maine since I was a young girl and I'm so excited to be here with you all!

I found Baby Booty when my daughter was 2, and it changed our lives every hour we spent there. We went to every class option, and I knew quickly I had a passion for this community and seeing it grow. I grew up doing gymnastics, and it has always stuck with me as I plan workouts and think about training to get stronger. Mixing my passions for fitness, strength, community, and FUN, is what Baby Booty is all about. I love being a part of a community for new moms where we are all right there with you as the instructors. We totally get what you’re going through! I look forward to working out with you!

My Baby Booty journey started when one of my good friends invited me to a class when I was just seven weeks postpartum. I was a little nervous at first because my body still felt weak and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’m so glad I decided to show up with my son!
I’ve been coming ever since, and now he’s almost a year old. Baby Booty has been such an important part of my postpartum journey, both physically and mentally. Staying consistent with the workouts has helped me feel stronger, confident, and more like myself again.
One of my favorite things about Baby Booty is the moms. Everyone is so supportive, welcoming, and understanding of the beautiful chaos that comes with bringing your little ones along.
I’m also a mom to a 5 year old daughter, who loves joining me for classes whenever she can. I love that my kids get to see fitness as something fun and positive, and that I can share this experience with them.
I’m so excited to be an instructor and help other moms feel strong, I’ve always had a passion for working out and even got my barre certification prior to having kids.
I love the support of this community and I want every mom who joins us to feel welcomed, capable, and proud of herself for simply showing up.

A month after I signed up for my 200hr yoga teacher training, I found out I was expecting my second child. Following a decade of personal practice, I was ready to dive deeper and learn to teach. Going through training while pregnant, I discovered how to allow the practice to meet me where I was, how to tune in to my changing and growing body, and how to hold space for others to do the same. I graduated from teacher training when I was 36 weeks pregnant and offering yoga has truly been a privilege and a gift ever since. Prenatal and postpartum yoga provides the opportunity to connect to our breath, body, and community at an important and vulnerable time in our lives.
In addition to being a Certified Yoga and Barre Instructor, I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and the founder and owner of Root To Rise Physical Therapy & Pelvic Health. As a specialist in orthopedics, women’s health and pelvic floor rehabilitation, I draw from my knowledge of anatomy, physiology and movement science in order to create safe and intentional sequencing. I am passionate about leading classes that are accessible to students of all levels and abilities and my goal is that you will leave class feeling empowered, spacious, and supported.
